It's easy to get awestruck upon entering Local, as the interior is mysteriously hidden from the street. A sublime experience awaits, as you are met with a bustling 3100 square foot contemporary space, laced with photography, artwork and cult classic films projected on the impossibly high wall.

Like a factory loft, Local eschews walls altogether and instead employs drapes as the primary mode of partition. The design takes as much inspiration from art galleries as it does from the authenticity of Toronto culture.

The palatial ceilings are sky high, and the exposed brick wall only adds to the charm. Although all the furniture is modular, and the space is divided into three main areas, the communal set-up and lack of division makes it seem like one big splurge of socializing.
